H.E.L.P. is governed by its Board of Directors. H.E.L.P.'s officers are a Chair of the Board, Vice-Chair, Treasurer, and Secretary. The officers are chosen and serve at the pleasure of the Board of Directors.

Jean Adelsman Retired Managing Editor, The Daily Breeze. Part-time Lecturer, University of Southern California, Vice President of the Board of the Torrance Cultural Art Center Foundation. Previous volunteer involvement: Community Helpline, RSVP, The Volunteer Center.
J. (Jimi) Katherine Andersen CFO, Jayne Products, Inc. (formulators of environmentally-compliant cleaners); President, Mackenroth Land Co. Previously: elementary school teacher, remedial reading specialist; art and history museum docent.

Self-employed specialist on aging, employment and retirement. The "Successful Aging" columnist for The Daily Breeze, lecturer at the USC Andrus Gerontology Center. Editor of two books: Retirement Preparation and Fourteen Steps in Managing an Aging Work Force.
Judith Gonser Director of Compensation and Benefits, at The Aerospace Corporation where she oversees administration of the program’s retirement plans, health and welfare plans and work/life programs. Vast experience in the areas of human resources management and pre-retirement planning and coaching.
Sibylle Grebe Partner in the law firm of Conover & Grebe, LLP, where she practices in areas including probate, conservatorships, estate planning, trust administration and elder law. Served as Chair of the Los Angeles County Bar Association Elder Law Committee and President of the Southern California Council of Elder Law Attorneys.

George Nakano Formerly represented the 53rd District, the southern coastal region of Los Angeles County, in the California State Assembly. Prior to that, served as a Torrance City Councilman for 14 years. Founded the Torrance Chapter of the Japanese American Citizens League and was President of Torrance’s AARP Chapter.
