H.E.L.P.’s community education program includes classes on staying in charge with powers of attorney; wills, probate and probate avoiders; elder care and residential choices; trusts and taxes; financial planning for long-term care; Medi-Cal for nursing home care; and fall prevention. Consult with H.E.L.P.'s Elder Law Attorney

H.E.L.P. offers private consultations that assist individuals, their families and care providers in examining proper legal options and planning tools (e.g., care planning, probate avoidance and property transfers), and estate administration (e.g., providing proper notices, distributing estate assets and paying remaining debts when a loved-one has passed).

Resolve Family Disputes Through Elder Mediation

H.E.L.P. offers limited scope mediation for seniors who have disagreements with those who do care. Common mediation themes include suitable living arrangements, necessary medical care, proper financial planning and end-of-life choices. All participants must sign the mediation agreement and pay their fair portion of the initial $200 fee.

Should all participants request to continue after completing two hours, each will pay their portion of the additional $200 fee.
