Ed Long, executive director of H.E.L.P., has agreed to be a panelist in a roundtable discussion of nationally-recognized experts titled "Law and Disorder: Legal Conflicts at End of Life."
Especially timely given the national interest generated by the Terri Schiavo end-of-life case in Florida, the panel includes experts in pain management, biomedical ethics, elder law and litigators involved in dramatic court cases.
Presented by the Last Acts Writers Project and co-sponsored by the National Association of Attorneys General, the Writers Guild of America / West (Freelance Committee) and the American Bar Association Commission on Law & Aging, the event brings current and vital information to writers and producers of medical, courtroom, crime and similar programs. It will be held at the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences in North Hollywood on November 5.
